About the Instructors
Dale and John are co-creators of Swiftbrook
Gardens which serve both as a classroom and
as a display for Gardener by Nature LLC.
Relying on firsthand gardening experiences, as
well as their expertise and training, together
they create workshops that are informative, fun,
and practical.
Scheduled workshops are publicized at this
website, in Triangle Gardener, in the Saturday
News and Observer, and at triangle.com.

Gardener by Nature's classes
As part of our mission to "get you gardening," we offer a Workshop Series designed for
novice gardeners and those new to the Triangle. Topics include soil preparation, proper
planting, basic maintenance and more. At least one class each session is devoted to
plants native to the Triangle. Although the classes are targeted for beginners, interested
gardeners of all experience levels are welcome.
Special presentations of these topics can be conducted for garden clubs or other groups.
Customized individual instruction is also available.
Workshops are conducted in Swiftbrook Gardens near Lake Wheeler and include
hands-on activities. Participants should dress in comfortable attire that is appropriate
for outdoor activities.
