Habitat Steward
As a North Carolina Native Plant
Society member, conservationist, and
wildlife gardening enthusiast, I  speak to
garden clubs, schools, scouts, and civic
groups about native plants, plant
conservation, and sustainable gardening.

I agree strongly with the National
Wildlife Federation that “every acre
matters” as we work to protect and
preserve species diversity and the natural
world for our children’s children.

     Groups wishing to schedule a
presentation about native plants,
conservation, or sustainable gardening
should email dale@gardenerbynature.
com.  Please put “Habitat Steward” in the
subject line of your message.

     Schedule permitting, we welcome
garden clubs and other groups for tours of
Swiftbrook Gardens.
We Garden for Wildlife

Discussion includes her own evolution as a

those seeking to enhance their property's
value to wildlife.

Restoring Native Plant Communities
at Pondberry Bay
Fire in the Bay
We share our experiences as Friends of
Plant Conservation and Site Stewards at
Pondberry Bay, one of 21 preserves
established by N. C.'s Plant Conservation
Program to protect more than 50 of our
state's rare plants in their natural habitats.
Included in this discussion are the ways in
which learning from field ecologists and plant
conservation experts has informed our work as
landscape designers and gardeners.
